As I'm sure you know, money problems cause a ton of stress. They are a major contributor to marriage problems, as PH and I are learning firsthand. But thinking of this passage when I'm worried about our situation provides me with peace. God has gotten us through many struggles so far in our short marriage, and I know that he will get us through this as well. He has used our past struggles to help others going through similar challenges, and I hope that He will use this time in our lives in the same way.Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! ~Habakkuk 3:17-18
Up to this point, I've been very discouraged and humiliated about our financial status, but I'm starting to feel like I can turn it around, using this blog to share our challenges as a way to help other people, and that is a great feeling.
